Apache Halted Permian Gas Production in March Due to Bottlenecks
Oil and gas producer Apache said it temporarily halted production at its Alpine High assets in the Permian basin in late March, curtailing output of about 250 MMcf/d because of extremely low prices.
Oil and gas pipeline construction in the Permian has not kept up with output, which has more than doubled over the past three years, making the country the world’s largest oil producer.

Jemena awards Atlas pipeline facility construction contract to Valmec
Natural gas infrastructure operator Jemena has awarded a contract to Valmec for facility construction works at its Atlas gas pipeline project in South West Queensland, Australia.
Valmec will deliver the $22m contract on a turnkey basis. The company will begin the contract works immediately and expects to complete the project later this year.

Petrobras to sale interest in TAG pipeline
Brazilian oil company Petrobras’ executive board has decided to resume the bidding process for a 90% interest in its Transportadora Associada de Gas (TAG) pipeline unit.
The sale will also include the company’s Araucaria fertiliser factory.
Petrobras will also continue to look for potential refining partnerships.
